Bomb scare in abuja

A bomb scare was on Thursday morning reported at Dunamis Church in Nyanya, Abuja. Reports said a blast rocked the church around 10a.m.
However, a police officer at Nyanya Police Station said no such explosion was recorded, adding that it was just a scare.
The Deputy Force Public Relations, Mr. Frank Mba, also said “There was no blast at Nyanya. I’ve just spoken with the Nyanya DPO and I’m trying to get in touch with the DPO of Mararaba .

Also, the spokesman for the National Emergency Management Agency, Yushau Shuaibu, debunked the rumour, saying “NEMA has denied speculations about a bomb explosion in Nyanya, Abuja. Members of the public are advised to ignore such rumours.”
The Head of the Technical unit of the Church, Mr Godstime Asuquo told Vanguard that the FCT Anti Bomb squad was immediately contacted to detonate the bomb.
Asuquo smarting from the experience, said it was the grace of God upon the Church that did not allow the perpetrators of the dastardly act to succeed.
“As we are preparing for another prayer meeting this evening, the church is planning to recruit more security personnel to ensure the safety of lives in the church, this incident cannot send our members away, all hands are on deck to curb the situation”he said.
